In this article I'll briefly go over some of the more common essay topics and provide you with information about which one is most appropriate for you.The most basic topic to consider when trying to craft a good essay is the one most often found on standardized tests. This is the Humanities Essay. Generally speaking, Humanities Essays is concerned with factual, accurate, and historical facts regarding the development of a culture and its interaction with society and the world around it.Other essay topics to consider would be Ethnic Studies and Race and Ethnicity. Generally speaking, these two topics are about different areas of study within a culture and how they are perceived. For example, in a class on Asian American Literature, you might choose to write an essay on the relationship between Chinese values and Amer ican values.Another type of essay topics would be Social Sciences Essay topics. The basic point of social sciences essays are usually centered around current events or major cultural phenomena that have touched the world today. For example, if you were teaching an American Culture class on the Cultural History of America, you could use the example of the American Revolution and the role that major media events played in the debate about the principles of liberty.Now, we are living in a recent surge of globalization, of global communication, and of mass migration. Many students would ask about the relationship between global awareness and immigration or about multiculturalism and culture. One way of tackling these types of topics is to use social studies essays or to integrate some larger political or cultural context into the essay.Of course, there are other types of social science essays that I haven't mentioned yet. These include the Arts and Humanities Essay topic. This is a topi c that I've found to be popular among college students; because it really is a combination of a great academic topic and a personal one.Finally, there are those types of essays that fall in between. These are the extracurricular essays; which are required for many college courses.As you can see, there are a number of essay topics to choose from. Take your time to choose what's best for you or discuss your ideas with your instructor to see if there is a more general topic you would prefer.
